Born in the rural area of Cumbria, Nick Hill spent most of his youth honing his craft. Aspiring to be like his older brother’s, he picked up the guitar at a young age.

 

Fast forward to 2016 and after finishing university, Nick Hill gave up a career in Engineering to pursue music. Moving to London in 2018 he has become a regular on the music scene. Playing in bands and for high profile artists.

 

The album ‘Live At Buffalo Studios’ sees his first release as a solo artist. A combination of his bluesy roots, infused with pop, rock and ambient elements. ‘I’ve been sitting on all this music for some time and wanted to find a way to release it. This album is a collection of some of those ideas. Some of them are from over a decade ago.

 

I wanted to create a live and raw album with the added difficulty of filming each performance. This album was particularly challenging due to the nature of only having one instrument. Just me and my guitar.’
